Always good our server Tracey gave use the inside scoop on desert. Thank you for great fish and chips Cod on newspaper with chips pom fritt and a Rouge Love Stout. Dessert apple dumpling oh yes goes well with a triple espresso.

Great service, and amazing food. The location is amazing, too- right off main street, but it's not the crowded part of Main St! Definitely a go-to.

Sunday brunch with the best bartenders! Great atmosphere, food and people!

A well known establishment in Newark, Delaware. Their Sunday Brunch is well worth your attention. Every item on the menu is worthy!If you like a drink with your meal, the "make your own" Bloody Mary is worthy. You are served a tall glass with ice & vodka. You then go to the "fixings" bar with every kind of mixer, filler, vegetable, seafood and mushrooms, or pickles, and hot sauce you could ever imagine!

This place is a real good place to go and hangout on the weekend of you like live music and to dance. The drink prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The only downside of this place is sometimes it can be over packed and its shoulder to shoulder trying to get around and 25 mins to get a drink if peoples crowd the bar who already have drinks.

I wish I were able to give more than 3 stars, but to do so would be dishonest. Great drink prices, nice environment, but the food is mediocre at best, and since I love the place and the people I've given the food a chance more times than I probably should have 😅 Great place to have a drink, eat some popcorn, socialize, but unless or until they improve the menu (both selection AND price) and hire a more qualified staff to prepare it? It isn't worth it to eat here.

They sponsored the Taco's & Rita run. Its a brick building with a lot of charm. 2 floors and multiple bars. They also have a stage area for live music. Cute.

Only place that wasn't dead on New years, Stephanie the bar tender was great, service was good music wasn't loud at all which is great for conversation. it was really bright in there which was not what im used to. Its in the heart of UD at the end of main Street so lots of lively and social people around

As a local I've been coming here for dinner for years. The food's delicious-- there's a good variety on the menu and they're consistent as well! I especially love the self-serve popcorn as a pre-meal snack. Nothing but good things to say about this place!

Had a good breakfast and enjoyed the $4.00 make your own Bloody Mary Bar. They need to add some celery and maybe cucumbers.

the place to go when in newark. tends to be quite busy when college students are present, but does slow down a bit during winter break. upstairs is a bar and space for private affairs, and the food provided for these special occasions is out of this world.

Visited the Deer Park after 20 years away from Newark. It's the same as ever. So, if you're young, like the college town combination of music hall, restaurant, and dive bar, you'll love it. If you're older and not a nostalgic barfly, it'll still be good...

Deer Park is the core of the spirit of the town. History runs deep, atmosphere reflects it. The staff are the young lifeblood of the University. The Food is good and reasonably priced. Great place to get a Beer and a Burger with friends, no matter what age you are.

Classic college bar. If you want to drink and good, Capital-C Cheap food, this is your place! The operations are very disorganized and the wait staff (all college kids) are friendly but not overly invested in the customers. To be honest, that sounds disparaging, but I was happy to Take advantage of half price burger night with the kitchen sink burger. If you’re no longer a college kid, prepare to enjoy some nostalgia with your dinner, but wisely avoid over consuming the bargain prices drink options! I will happily return if I’m again in the area.

I'm in th middle. Most nights it's cool but tonight was a different story. The ID dude had a comment for every ID looked at and while YES it's good to be friendly and talk to your patrons, every single.person is a bit much especially when the line stretches threw the parking lot.

This tavern has a long and interesting history. Good old fashioned pub feel. Good food, free popcorn, and beer.

Good food, great beer selection (including some local exclusives) and superb service.We have frequented this Newark landscape for years, and service and quality has been consistent... But the floor is no longer as sticky as it used to be!!Great brunch year-round... And great atmosphere for every occasion. Work events or small parties can be held upstairs!!

My favorite brunch spot. Can’t beat the eggs bene or the make your own bloody’s. The Bloody Mary bad has a great selection of mixes and hot sauces.

Service was great. Crab pretzel and Fried Mozzarella was on point!

My burger was good, moist definitely not a frozen patty. Waitress was trying her best given their system was down and apparently couldnt run cards or give out bills. Due to that service was sliw. The place could definitely use a scrub down, but given this is a dive bar college hang out, this place is way cleaner then some I've seen. Overall, it was a cool little spot with decent food, but I wouldn't rave about it. Definitely seemed to be having an off day.

Good food at a reasonable price given that one can eat here for $12-20. The onion rings and fried cheese wedges are really good.

Deer Park is my go to place when I'm not doing my best. I find that the atmosphere is adaptive, so you never really feel left out. Not to mention their staff is very kind

I've been here plenty of times during the nightlife, and only recently went for lunch. It was a much different change of pace and I was very satisfied with my experience.

A great “watering hole” on Main Street with historic value.

Historic building. Been going there for over forty years. Have a bar and plenty of seating. Also have private rooms/areas. Beer on tap, sandwiches, plenty of staff to handle big crowds. Today, I ordered French onion soup. It was outstanding. Friendly servers, waitresses, waiters. Very clean.

Brunch here is highly overrated in my opinion. Come instead for half price burger night on Tuesdays. I had the delicious Farmhouse Burger with some of their warm popcorn.

Great historic tavern. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. In the warmer months its nice being able to eat outside in the massive porch that wraps two sides of the building. Food is pretty good. Prices are about mid-tier. Not too high to discourage me from eating there, but maybe a bit on the expensive side. Alcohol is fairly priced for the area. Free popcorn available while you wait. And unlike many places on main street they have plenty of free parking.

Deer Park Tavern is one of my friend's favorite places to eat. The quality of the food is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes I can get a perfect burger, done to the correct temperature, while other times a burger will come out charred like a hockey puck. If Tone is working the kitchen then my food will almost always be great. If he isn't, then it varies... A lot. The service varies too. Sometime of the staff are amazing while others can leave you waiting for far too long.

This is a staple for Newark. It’s a good value if you hit the daily specials. Happy hour is for the locals, night (after 9pm) is for the college kids. Some items on the menu are quality and others are standard bar food (chicken tenders, nachos). I would suggest they promote the items that are fresh, not frozen.
